the grand hotel riga was a huge disappointment, especially when i had to pay for my daughter's breakfast even though she barely ate. breakfast had the lowest quality food, and to top it all off, our shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. i guess expecting some pampering was too much to ask.

I was delighted with the spacious and recently renovated room on the 8th floor, featuring modern furniture and a magnificent view of the Danube. The hotel also boasts the wonderful Panorama Restaurant, where I enjoyed delicious meals at reasonable prices.

Upon arrival, I received a complimentary upgrade to a luxury room with breathtaking views of the Danube. The spacious, clean, and quiet environment was a delightful surprise. Dining at the Panorama restaurant was a treat, with reasonably priced meals and excellent local wines.

Despite the pleasant stay, noise from ongoing renovations was distracting during the day. The breakfast options left much to be desired, lacking variety and freshness, which was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. The elevator system seemed outdated, adding to the overall concerns about the hotel's infrastructure.
